Judith Kolberg, originally from Levittown, New York, graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1975. After a decade as a political lobbyist and activist, she realized organizing principles could help achieve many of life’s goals. She founded FileHeads Professional Organizers in 1989.  A member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and former president of the Georgia chapter, Kolberg received NAPO’s prestigious Founders’ Award in 1996 based on her pioneering work in chronic disorganization. She formed the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD) in 1991, and served as its director for seven years. Squall Press, a publishing company Kolberg formed, published her book, Conquering Chronic Disorganization in 1998. The groundbreaking book ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life co-authored with Dr. Kathleen Nadeau followed. Inspired by the events of September 11, 2001, Kolberg then wrote and published Organized for Disaster. She is the former Director of Professional Development for NAPO. A sought-after speaker and trainer for hundreds of companies, organizations, and individuals, Kolberg currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
